Moana Under the Stars: A Festive Success for Home Of Hope You<\/h3>\n

What an incredible way to wrap up the holiday season! This past Saturday, our community gathered together for a magical screening of Moana<\/strong>. The last night(10th of January 2026) was filled with laughter, popcorn, and\n a wonderful sense of community spirit that truly defined the start of our new year.<\/p>\n

A Heartfelt Thank You<\/h3>\n

We want to extend a massive thank you to our Original Donors<\/strong> and everyone who contributed to these events. Your generosity didn’t just provide a fun night for our children; it made a tangible difference for those in\n need. We truly hope all the kids had loads of fun<\/strong> this Christmas, and that this cinema night was the perfect “cherry on top” of their festive holidays!<\/p>\n

      If you have a moment, we highly recommend visiting them\u2014their cattery alone houses almost 400 cats<\/strong>! It is an incredible operation, and they were so thankful for the community’s help in keeping those bellies full and\n tails wagging.<\/p>\n

          De Zicht Estate<\/strong> \u2013 Security and access control operations at the De Zicht Estate have returned to normal following the successful repair of a significant electrical fault that had crippled the security office,\n main gates, and the ARKE access system.<\/p>\n

          The power outage, which began on [Insert Start Date or Day, e.g., Tuesday afternoon], was traced to a faulty electrical cable supplying the security office. The sudden loss of power directly impacted all electronic security measures,\n prompting immediate and serious action from the Estate\u2019s Trustees.<\/p>\n

            De Zicht Estate Plagued by Power Outage and Cable Theft<\/h3>\n

            DE ZICHT, WESTERN CAPE<\/strong> \u2013 Residents of De Zicht Estate experienced a significant power outage this past Thursday, which was later attributed to cable theft.<\/p>\n

            The power went out at approximately 3 a.m. and an initial alert was sent to the body corporate at 4:22 a.m. Although Eskom initially reported the issue as resolved at 8 a.m., power was not restored. This led to an escalation of the\n issue to a local councilor.<\/p>\n

            At 11:50 a.m., Eskom technicians located the fault and discovered a section of cable had been stolen. The cable department was then dispatched to the scene.<\/p>\n

            Throughout the day, residents who went to investigate provided helpful updates to the community. At 4 p.m., it was confirmed that the cables had been rejoined with a new 13-meter section.<\/p>\n

            Power was eventually restored at 6:22 pm<\/p>\n

            Block 42, Flat 514<\/strong> – Residents of Block 42 were treated to an unexpected sight today as the balcony of Flat 514 became the temporary home for a bustling swarm of bees. The insects, numbering in the thousands, were\n spotted clinging to a metallic surface on the balcony, creating a live, humming spectacle for those passing by.<\/p>\n

            The swarm, believed to be a colony in transit searching for a new permanent hive, quickly drew attention. Local beekeepers were contacted to safely remove the bees and relocate them to a more suitable environment. Experts advise residents\n not to disturb bee swarms, as they are generally docile when clustered but can become aggressive if threatened.<\/p>\n

            “It’s quite a sight, really,” commented one resident from a neighboring block. “Never thought I’d see so many bees gathered together like that, right here in the middle of the city.”<\/p>\n
